Relationship Therapy for Expats and Internationals in The Hague, Haarlem & Online
Couples therapy provides a structured and supportive space to understand relationship dynamics, improve communication, and rebuild emotional connection. I work with expats, internationals, and local couples experiencing challenges such as recurring conflict, emotional distance, trust ruptures, attachment insecurity, or difficulties linked to relocation and life transitions.
My approach combines Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a client-centered framework, helping couples understand emotional patterns, regulate reactions, and develop healthier ways of relating to one another. Therapy is available in English, Greek, and Russian.
Individual therapy is available in English, Greek & Russian, both in-person and online at my practices in:

Frequently Asked Questions
“How do we contact you for an appointment?”
Please use the contact form below or visit the
→ Contact page
After receiving your request, you will be invited to a short introductory video call (15 – 20 min). During this call, we discuss your relationship needs, clarify the therapy process, and answer any questions you may have. This introductory call is free of charge.
“Can we book our first session without the introductory call?”
No. To respect your time, emotional investment, and financial resources, I only accept new couples after an introductory call. This ensures that couples therapy is appropriate for your situation and that both partners feel comfortable with the therapeutic process.
“Can I book a call without my partner being present or informed?”
No. Couples therapy requires openness and shared commitment. Both partners must be informed and agree to participate. If your partner is not ready, you are welcome to consider individual therapy instead.

“Can we have individual sessions as part of couples therapy?”
Yes. If both partners agree, individual sessions may be scheduled as part of the couples therapy process. These sessions can help explore personal experiences, emotional patterns, or sensitive topics that influence the relationship. Individual sessions are always conducted in support of your shared therapeutic goals.
“What kind of therapy do you practice?”
I use an integrative approach combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a Client-Centered therapeutic framework. Our work is collaborative: I bring expertise in psychology, and you bring expertise in your own life and experiences. Together, we explore thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns, and introduce practical tools to improve communication, emotional regulation, and relationship stability.
“What does couples therapy look like?”
In the first sessions, we explore your relationship history, clarify your concerns, and identify the patterns affecting your relationship. Based on this, we develop a structured therapeutic plan aligned with your goals. Sessions focus on improving communication, understanding emotional needs, resolving recurring conflicts, and strengthening emotional connection. Over time, couples develop practical skills to navigate challenges independently and maintain long-term stability.
“How long does couples therapy take?”
The duration varies depending on your relationship history, goals, and therapeutic needs. Some couples benefit from short-term therapy, while others engage in longer-term work. A clearer estimate can usually be provided after the first few sessions.
“In which languages is couples therapy available?”
Couples therapy is available in: English/ Greek/ Russian. This allows expats and international couples to work in the language they feel most comfortable using.
“Is couples therapy reimbursed by health insurance?”
I do not collaborate with Dutch health insurance providers. However, some international insurance plans may offer partial reimbursement. You may share my AGB code with your insurer to confirm your eligibility. Therapy costs may also be included in your annual tax return as non-reimbursed healthcare expenses. Please consult your accountant for details.
“What is the duration of a couples therapy session?”
Each couples therapy session lasts 70 minutes. This extended session length allows sufficient time to explore relationship dynamics, understand emotional patterns, and work toward meaningful and constructive change without feeling rushed.
“What is the cost of couples therapy?”
The fee for couples therapy is €148 per 70-minute session.
“Are online couples therapy sessions available?”
Yes. Couples therapy sessions are available online via secure video consultation (Google Meet). Online sessions provide the same structure, confidentiality, and professional support as in-person sessions and are suitable for couples who prefer remote therapy or who are not located in The Hague (Den haag) or Haarlem.
